Bistro La Roue is a conceptual French bistro in Toronto serving classic french food with a whimsical flair. The aim of Bistro La Roue is to provide patrons with an exciting and magical dining experience inspired by traditional Parisienne bistros and carnivals (La Roue = Ferris wheel). Think croissants and candy apples! The deep, rich jewel tones in the colour palette inspire a sense of sensuality and romanticism. Bistro La Roue would be the perfect spot for a first date!

For me, this project was a fun exploration of early 20th-century design styles (specifically Art Nouveau and Art Deco) and how they can inspire contemporary design. You'll spot nods to these styles in the brand illustrations, patterns and fonts.
